Overview

As the days grow shorter and the air becomes still, winter offers us an invitation to slow down, soften, and listen inwardly. This workshop is designed to support you in meeting the season with tenderness - through gentle yoga, storytelling, poetry, meditations, and a nourishing yoga nidra practice.

Gillian will guide you with care and attunement, offering practices that honor your pace, your boundaries, and your unique needs. Throughout the session, she will weave a beautiful medicine story and poems that speak to winter’s wisdom: retreat, renewal, and the quiet magic of turning toward oneself. You are encouraged to participate in whatever way feels supportive - moving, resting, or simply witnessing.

What to Expect

This space is intended to feel grounding and accessible, especially for those who may be carrying stress, fatigue, or emotional heaviness. There is no expectation to “keep up,” achieve, or engage in anything that doesn’t feel right for you. You will be invited to check in with your body, follow your own timing, and choose stillness whenever you need it. All experiences and emotions are welcome here.

What to Bring

To help you create a cocoon of comfort, please gather anything that supports your sense of safety and ease: soft blankets, cushions, cosy socks, a warm drink, a candle, a teddy bear, or a personal talisman. You might prepare a small corner that feels warm and restful - your own winter nest.

Live Online and/or Catch Up with Recording

We’ll meet in the gentleness of Zoom - each of us in our own winter sanctuary, yet connected through shared story, breath, and presence.

If you can’t join live, or would like to revisit the practices, you’ll receive access to the recording for 30 days.

You are warmly welcome to join us for this restorative seasonal pause; a moment to tend to your inner landscape and reconnect with what steadies and nourishes you.

Would you like to come on a weekend retreat and focus on relaxation for a whole weekend? Have a look at Gillian's retreats in 2026 here.
