Wintering

How we rest in the winter determines how we are born anew in the spring and this session will provide the space to attune to the season and follow nature's lead by turning our energy inward, finding stillness and silence deep within.

As the earth slumbers in mid-winter we will practice some restorative yoga, gently moving between postures to ease stress and tension from the body. I will weave stories, silence, meditation and lullabies throughout to comfort frayed nerves and help you come back to your centre. There will also be time for a long deep nourishing nidra practice - a soothing balm before you leave to enjoy the rest of your Saturday.

Michelle, Leeds

I have been to Gillian’s classes over many years. I find she helps me tune into something eternal, like nature. I feel very far removed from tiring ideas of competition and status. I feel she is a really good person and this shines through every interaction I have had with her. Each time is a treat and I’m nourished by the experience.

When I think of Gillian I imagine her walking somewhere bare foot, being warmed by a fire, eyes shining at an enchanted far off story, or perhaps being held by water . These I think are some of the ways you may be left after one of her classes - connecting with something wise and magical.
